Annual General Meeting: Saturday 12th July 2008 Marley Eternit Sports and Social Club – Meldreth SG8 5RL (for those with SatNav)
Please accept this communication as your official notification, as per the constitution of the Annual General Meeting. The AGM convenes at 1.30pm for a 2.00pm start and normally lasts an hour. Junior club members and family brothers and sisters are also welcome to attend the AGM and if the weather is favorable will be able to play in the enclosed grounds of the Social Club. Directions will be supplied to those attending, which is why we need your reply slips to cater accordingly. The Committee felt very very strongly that we have had a fantastic year, and that we needed to combine the formal aspect of the Club (The AGM) with a Social Event and in line with that we will not charge for the BBQ. We need 3 Committee members, who in accordance with the Club Constitution should be Senior Members, or parents of junior members so if you are interested, please speak to a committee member about the role.
Following the AGM at 3.00pm we will make our Annual Presentation of Awards to: The Club Person of the Year, two Junior and one Senior Judoka of the Year and the Most Improved Player. Following the awards, we will have a BBQ, and you can buy drinks at the Bar, and you will be very pleased with the bar prices. There is no cost for the BBQ and on presentation of your ticket you will ALL get a free drink on arrival.
